For the 1999 eclipse, business came pouring into Cornwall and consequently Ivory Cottage. The guests that stayed during this period enjoyed it all so much, despite the weather, that they have already booked for the coming year. Indeed, few are able to resist the warm and friendly atmosphere at Ivory Cottage and plan to return in the future.

Ivory Cottage backs on to a water sports centre on Stithians Lake with beautiful walks and is close to main towns such as Falmouth and Truro and beautiful villages and attractions.

Another attraction is Clay Pigeon Shooting on the farm. Guns and ammunition can be supplied or you can bring your own. If golf is your game, we have a practice net and balls available with plenty of room to make mistakes!

The village of Stithians is approximately 1 mile away, easily reached by vehicle or on foot by local footpaths across countryside. Stithians is a typical Cornish Village with its church, chapels, friendly residents and is the home of Cornwall's largest one day Agricultural show which is held yearly in July. Stithians has extremely good facilities which include a Post Office, Doctors Surgery, Petrol Station, Beauticians and Hairdresser, well stocked shop and two pubs with restaurant facilities that are family friendly.
